Caring for Mum and her routine

The following routine is what worked well with Mum last week, interspersed with regular games of rummy. The Omeprazole and Gaviscon seemed to make a big difference, so make sure these are not missed.
The following routine is what worked well with Mum last week, interspersed with regular games of rummy. The Omeprazole and Gaviscon seemed to make a big difference, so make sure these are not missed.
First thing: Make her a cappuccino in the morning. And give her a fresh small-teacup-full of huel milkshake and put the bottle back in the fridge. And a glass of water. Get her to take her Omeprazole acid reflux tablet (it doesn't need to be taken with food). Keep an eye on her liquids during the day to see if they need refilling. She needs to maintain her liquid intake.
Breakfast: Try to get her to eat some porridge (see video below for making microwave porridge), or otherwise rice crispies with a bit of condensed milk added. Also give her a desert spoon full of Gaviscon with her breakfast - this seemed to make a big difference. It should be given with or after food. Ask her if she would also like a fried egg.
Mid morning: She likes some ice cream, her favourite is caramel flavour, otherwise strawberry. Give her some in a bowl and put the tub back in the fridge. Try to avoid her just eating out of the tub and leaving it all to go soft. It is quite hard to scoop it out if it has just come out of the freezer. For a full tub, just out of the freezer, soften it for 20s in the microwave, scoop some into a bowl and put the tub back in the freezer. Further soften what is in her bowl with 10s in the microwave.
Lunch: She likes some soup, preferably chicken or tomato. She also enjoyed a quarter pizza, either tomato & cheese, or four-cheese pizza. When you bring shopping home, be sure to cut pizza into quarters before putting it into the freezer. She'll never eat more than a quarter.
Mid Afternoon: She might want some more ice cream. Check if she would like a fresh cappuccino, and if her cup of milkshake needs topping up.
Supper: She likes a baked potato with a little butter in it. McCain's frozen jacket potatoes from Paula's shop are great, and just take 5 minutes in the microwave. Also give her another spoonful of Gaviscon. She might also like another quarter of pizza.

Perfect porridge in the microwave:
Quantities for a generous adult portion of porridge: 40g Scott's oats, 260g milk up to a total of 300g, and 3 minutes in the microwave.
A small portion just for Mum: 15g oats, 85g milk up to a total of 100g, and 1 minute 10 seconds in the microwave.
When you stir the porridge, you could add some condensed milk to Mum's bowl. I didn't try that but she might like it.
